A recipe for homemade profiteroles that are very easy to make at home. Pretty crispy puffs topped with pastry cream or vanilla ice cream and topped with a creamy chocolate sauce, a real holiday dessert !
Ingredients for the profiteroles recipe :
For the choux pastry :
• Flour 150 g
• Egg(s) 4
• Butter 125 g
• Sugar 1 tbsp. soup
• Salt 2 pinch(es)
• Water 25 cl
For garnish of the profiteroles :
• Vanilla ice cream 50 cl
For the chocolate coulis
• Pastry chocolate 150 g
• Butter 30 g
Place the water, butter, sugar and salt in a saucepan over the heat.
Bring the water to a boil. Remove from the heat and add the flour all at once. Mix with a wooden spoon and do not leave lumps.
Stir the dough over the heat until it comes away from the sides of the pan and forms a ball. Let cool for a minute.
Incorporate the eggs one by one.
Form the choux buns on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper.
Bake in a hot oven at 180°C (th.6) for around twenty minutes.
Once the choux has cooled, prepare your chocolate sauce.
Melt the chocolate in a bain-marie with a little milk (vary the quantity according to taste).
To finish, cut the choux in half, garnish them with a scoop of ice cream.
Arrange the choux buns on plates and pour the warm chocolate over them. Enjoy immediately. Enjoy your profiteroles !
